Driver found dead 4 days after crashing into creek
SALUDA COUNTY (WIS) - The driver of a pickup truck that crashed into a creek has been found dead four days after the accident.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the GMC pickup truck was discovered Friday afternoon in a creek off of Secondary 227 in Saluda County.
Troopers say the accident happened around 7 a.m. on Monday.
Investigators say the truck ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a traffic sign, went down an embankment, struck a tree and overturned into a creek.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt and was trapped in the vehicle.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim.
