BLYTHEWOOD, SC (WIS) - Columbia Firefighters were called to a garage fire early Thursday morning in the Blythewood area.

Brick Lewis with the fire department says fire broke out at a detached garage on Michael Road in rural Blythewood at about 3:20 a.m.  Lewis said firefighters got the fire under control by 4 a.m., but it will take a while for crews to search the debris to make sure it's out because there were several vehicles in the garage, which was used as a shop.

Firefighters had to use tanker trucks to transport water to the scene.

There are no reports of injuries.

The Richland County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause.
