Mother, children not injured when shot fired during home invasion

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Richland County Sheriff's deputies are looking for someone who broke into a home and fired a shot as a mother and her children were sleeping.

According to Sgt. Curtis Wilson, the woman told deputies she and her kids were asleep when they heard someone fire a shot inside her home on Lambeth Drive just after 2 a.m. The woman said she saw that her front door had been forced open.

Wilson said there are no reports of injuries.
