Newberry woman's estranged husband arrested for her murder

NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The 76-year-old husband of a Newberry County woman who was found dead in her home Saturday night has been arrested and charged in her murder.
Newberry County Sheriff Lee Foster said Charles Butler was arrested Monday night by the Chambersburg Police Department in Pennsylvania on a warrant for the murder of 72-year-old Andrenna Butler.
Butler's body was found with a gunshot wound to the head on the floor of her home on Highway 176.
Foster said a friend discovered Butler after numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact her.
Investigators say Butler lived alone. There were no signs of forced entry, no signs of theft, and the alarm system was not armed.
Foster said this was an isolated incident which was the result of a domestic issue stemming from the couple's separation.
