Man wanted for burglaries and copper thefts

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Richland County Sheriff's deputies are asking for help finding a man wanted in a string of burglaries and copper thefts over the past seven months.

Deputies are looking for 33-year-old Gregory Skinner.  Sheriff Leon Lott says "Skinner has been stealing from residents and businesses in Lower Richland County and needs to be stopped."

Lott says Skinner is responsible for burglaries on Chain Gang Road in Eastover, including a storage facility and Richland County Public Works.  Jewelry, a camera, and power yard tools were stolen.

Skinner is accused of damaging and stealing copper from air conditioning units at Lebanon United Methodist Church, Antioch AME Zion Church, Good Hope Church, Lower Richland Community Center and a home in Eastover.

Deputies say the crimes occurred between January and July of 2013.
