KERSHAW COUNTY, SC (WIS) - A Kershaw County man was killed two days ago in a car accident, but his truck wasn't found until Monday morning, according to the Kershaw County Coroner's Office.

Coroner Johnny Fellers says 32-year-old Timothy Scott Collins was killed some time between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Saturday when his truck ran off Mill Creek Road, hit a tree, and caught fire.

Investigators originally believed the accident happened around 10 a.m. Monday.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says Collins was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the car.

Fellers says family members began searching for Collins when he didn't show up for work Monday morning.
