COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - One day after winter visited the Midlands, sunshine bathed South Carolina on Sunday morning.
Snow was reported in Kershaw, Sumter and Newberry Counties Saturday morning. Saturday evening, people throughout the midlands reported thunder and lightning as snow, hail and sleet fell.
Much of the Midlands was under a Winter Weather Advisory until 11 p.m. Saturday.
WIS meteorologist Von Gaskin says the wind could pick up. A Lake Wind Advisory is posted from 7 p.m. Saturday until 6 p.m. Sunday. Winds could gust up to 25mph.
The precipitation left a shot of cold air behind the front with lows in the low to mid 20's.
Sunday will be beautiful, but still cold with highs in the upper 40's.
