RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Attorneys for double murder suspect Brett Parker say they're getting shortchanged on evidence. And they've asked a court to force prosecutors to turn over more of it.
Parker is accused of killing his wife, Tammy, and business associate Bryan Capnerhurst in April. He was arrested three months after the killings.
His attorneys say since then, the fifth circuit solicitor's office has refused to provide critical information gathered by Richland County Sheriff's investigators.
Monday the defense filed a motion asking a judge to compel disclosure of that evidence. The solicitor's office denies withholding anything.
