The Newberry County Coroner has identified a man killed in a deadly crash in Newberry County Friday night.

Coroner Craig Newton said 35-year-old David Craft of Pomaria was killed in the crash on SC 34 about 10 miles east of Newberry.

Investigators say a pickup truck driven by Michael Livingston of Charleston was eastbound on SC 34 when the driver slowed down in an attempt to turn left at about 9:50 p.m. An eastbound Jeep was unable to stop and crashed into the pickup.

The driver of the Jeep, 35 year-old Charles Stuck, and his passenger, 41 year-old Timothy Stuck, were not wearing seat belts and were thrown from the vehicle.  They were taken to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital where their conditions have not been released.

Craft was a passenger in the Jeep and died at the scene.

Livingston was not injured, troopers say. But he was charged with DUI.

Troopers continue to investigate and say more charges are expected.
