COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Don't expect USC President Harris Pastides to make a hire to permanently replace outgoing athletics director Eric Hyman for possibly another week.

Pastides is in Europe on an economic development trip for the university. According to The Big Spur, it is not likely Pastides will make the hire until he returns early next week.

Pastides will have plenty of opinions to help him ultimately make the decision. An advisory board was created in the wake of Hyman's resignation to help find his replacement.

Members of that board include Board of Trustees chair William C. Hubbard, head women's basketball coach Dawn Staley, USC broadcaster Thomas E. Suggs, Columbia attorney I.S. Leevy Johnson, and assistant professor Charles F. Adams.

Hyman resigned last week after accepting an offer from Texas A&M University to become their new athletics director.
