Man hit, killed while riding bike

SUMTER COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving a bicyclist in Sumter County Sunday morning.
Troopers say at about 5:45 a.m., a man riding a bike was attempting to cross US 15 from Secondary Road 404 when he crossed into the path of a pickup truck.
The Sumter County Coroner identified the bicyclist as 30-year-old Jud Allen Harvin of Sumter. He died at the scene. An autopsy will be performed Monday morning.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
