EUTAWVILLE, SC (WIS) - Orangeburg County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a murder-suicide in Eutawville Saturday night.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says deputies were first called to Strick's One Stop on Old Number Six Highway at about 6:23 p.m. after an employee reported seeing a woman shot.  The employee told investigators they heard a gunshot, saw a woman fall to the ground, and a pickup truck quickly leaving the scene.

The Orangeburg County Coroner identified the woman as 42 year old Anngenette Shaw of Eutawville.

At about 6:31 Saturday night, deputies were called to Oilers Drive, less than a mile and a half away, for a report of a suicide. The County Coroner says the man was 53 year old Kenneth Burch.

Sheriff Ravenell says after shooting Shaw, Burch drove to his mother's house, which is next door to his own home, and kissed her.  Burch then returned to his home and shot himself.

Coroner Samuetta Marshall conducted autopsies on Shaw and Burch today, but she could not release any additional information.
