LAKE MURRAY, SC (WIS) - A 50-year-old Lake Murray man was arrested after deputies say he was caught breaking into a car by a runner on the Dreher Shoals Dam.
According to the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, David Lee Frick was charged with breaking into a motor vehicle, possessing tools that can be used to commit a crime, driving a motor vehicle with an open container of beer or wine, driving a motor vehicle with a suspended driver's license, and several other charges.
Deputies say a 21-year-old man was out for a run on the dam Monday when he saw Frick breaking into an SUV at a parking lot near the dam. The runner provided deputies with a detailed description of Frick and the vehicle he used to flee the scene.
Deputies used that description to locate Frick near his home on Auburn Road.
Frick is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center on bail totaling $11,415.
