Man accused of shooting 14-year-old turns himself in

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A teenager accused of shooting a 14-year-old last week at an apartment complex near Rosewood Dr. has turned himself in, according to Columbia Police.

19-year-old Tore' Michael Dove was arrested Tuesday night and transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. Dove is accused of shooting a teenage boy in the lower body in the evening of January 17 outside the Capri Apartments on East Chapel Dr.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have also arrested a 16-year-old in connection to the shooting.

Dove is charged with Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime. Dove is also accused of stealing the victim's personal belongings during the incident.

Investigators said the crime does not appear to be random.
