Clemson's Hopkins suffers concussion in car accident

CLEMSON, SC (WIS) - Clemson's second leading rusher was injured in a car accident Tuesday morning and did not travel with the team to Miami for the Orange Bowl.

Officials with the team say DeAndre Hopkins was driving to Clemson Memorial Stadium to meet the team for the bus ride to the airport when he was involved in the accident.

Hopkins suffered a concussion in the accident, but was not seriously injured.

Hopkins' status for the Orange Bowl is not currently known.
