COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Two Blythewood High School students were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after the bus they were riding in was rear-ended by a car.
The collision happened around 8:15 a.m. at the intersection of Eagles Ridge Drive and Feather Run Court.
According to troopers, the bus was slowing down when it was struck behind by a 4-door Honda.
A spokesperson with Richland School District Two says 22 Blythewood high school students were on the bus when the accident happened. Two of the students were taken to Providence Northeast Hospital as a precaution after one complained of a neck injury and the other complained of a knee injury.
The other students on the bus were checked out, put on another bus, and taken to school.
The driver of the car was not injured, but was ticketed with driving too fast for conditions.
