City notifies Crane Creek Drive residents of sanitary sewer overflow

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A sanitary sewer system overflow notification is affecting Richland County residents near the 100 block of Crane Creek Drive.

The City of Columbia issued the notice after its Wastewater Maintenance Division noticed an overflow in the area around 3:00pm Friday.

Workers say there's grease blockage in the collection system line, which caused some sanitary sewer to get into a tributary that leads to Crane Creek.

If you have any questions regarding this notice, you are asked to call the Wastewater Maintenance Division at 803-545-3910.
