(Cleveland-AP) May 22, 2003 - He's still in high school and hasn't even slammed his first dunk as a pro, but LeBron James will head into the NBA in high style with a multi million-dollar Nike endorsement contract.

It looks like a perfect fit for the kid who has always idolized Nike icon Michael Jordan.

The Associated Press has learned James' $90 million contract is the largest shoe endorsement deal ever. He chose Nike over Adidas and Reebok.

James, who is penciled in as the number-one pick in next month's draft, is expected to sign the sneaker contract Thursday morning.

When Jordan signed his first contract with Nike in 1984, it was for $2.5 million.
