Sierra Artemus is an innovative Multimedia Journalist and Television Producer with the ability to create compelling stories.

Sierra is a native of Columbia, South Carolina and a 2010 graduate of Richland Northeast High School.

She earned her associate's degree in 2015 from Midlands Technical College where she sought to expand her storytelling skills with multiple writing courses, including creative writing.

She later earned her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a minor in business and marketing.

While in school, she worked on hip hop magazine “Home Grown”. The magazine focuses on highlighting up-and-coming local music artists.

Sierra was promoted from intern to news producer at WOLO25 / ABC Columbia in 2017.

Sierra has utilized her voice talents to emcee several in-person and virtual community events, voice-over work, and has served as the announcer for Bible Way Church of Atlas Road since 2019.

During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sierra remained busy working as a digital content producer and media consultant helping professionals to build their platforms and increase viewer engagement.

In 2021, Sierra started her podcast “SiTV” Where she interviews business owners, creatives, and leaders of community initiatives to inspire young people to pursue their goals and aspirations.

Sierra also became the host of “Carolina Showcase Careers” shown on WACH FOX57 in Columbia, SC, where she interviewed guests about local businesses and attractions.

In 2022, Sierra accepted a producer at WISTV 10 where she executively produces a new lifestyle show “Soda City Live”.

Soda City Live, highlights local businesses, organizations and events in Columbia, SC and surrounding areas (Midlands).

She is also involved in the community as a community activist and youth advocate and often lends a hand when possible.

While in her 20’s, Sierra worked at a company whose business motto was to “listen, connect and inspire” in relation to their customers. Sierra herself was inspired and has adopted that theme into her work.

She has a passion for people and believes it is her job to use her platform and journalistic skills to uplift the people around her.

Sierra is also a self-professed foodie that enjoys discovering fresh and local cuisine around the Midlands!

In her spare time, she also enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing on the beach and volunteering in the community.

Sierra is a leader and continues to grow as a journalist and producer to reach a broader audience.
