Mariah Congedo

Weekend Anchor/MMJ
Savannah, GA
Mariah Congedo

Mariah Congedo joined WTOC in November 2019 as a multimedia journalist.

Mariah moved to the south after her first job in the industry in Bridgeport, West Virginia. At WDTV she was a multimedia journalist for a year until she was promoted to weekend anchor/producer. In this position she reported for several counties during the week and anchored the shows on the weekend. During her time at WDTV she covered all kinds of stories. Some, of note, were on the state's infrastructure. She uncovered why state roads weren't seeing sufficient funding and attention. She also covered the death of the infamous Whitey Bulger and reported on it for Inside Edition's broadcast!

Mariah received her broadcast journalism degree from West Virginia University. Home of the Mountaineers! While in college she was a member of the university's dance team and an anchor for WVU News. She also interned at FOX19 Now in Cincinnati for a summer.

Since moving down south she doesn't miss the cold/snowy weather that her hometown of Pittsburgh gets!

When Mariah isn't working you can find her at the beach, watching Netflix and teaching dance.

Mariah is excited for this new opportunity and to work closely with the community telling their stories.
