Alyssa Lyons

Alyssa joined the WRDW/WAGT team in April of 2022 as a weekend sports anchor and multimedia journalist.

Prior to joining the News 12 NBC 26 news team, Alyssa attended Ohio University (Athens) where she graduated with a B.A. in journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. In Athens, she was part of the Emmy award winning show for student production, "Gridiron Glory" at WOUB-TV. Shortly after she attended Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications to receive her Master's in Sports Broadcasting and Digital Journalism.

At Syracuse, Alyssa worked for the ACC Network Extra telling feature stories and was a part of the first all-female led broadcast at ESPN.

An avid Cincinnati sports fan, when she's not at work, Alyssa can be found cheering on her hometown teams.
