26-year-old man killed after shooting in Columbia
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Police said a man was killed after a shooting in Columbia late Monday.
The Columbia Police Department (CPD) has identified the victim as Justin Brown, 26, who was killed in the shooting.
CPD said the incident happened at Siegel Select Extended-Stay Living, an apartment complex on Stoneridge Drive.
CPD said responding officers found Brown at the scene with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was given emergency treatment before being taken to a hospital, where he later died.
CPD investigators say they are actively investigating the shooting and are working to identify and locate the person or persons responsible. At this time, no arrests have been made, and no suspect information is being released.
