Families displaced after triplex fire in West Columbia

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Officials said two families were displaced after a fire at a triplex in West Columbia on Tuesday.

The West Columbia Fire Department said crews responded to the 500 block of Boozer Street at around 2:30 p.m. The department said heavy fire was coming from the back side of a two-story triplex.

WCFD said firefighters were able to put the blaze out within 15 minutes, with assistance from the Cayce Fire Department and Lexington County Fire Service. Damage was reported in two apartments, one of which reportedly had heavy fire damage.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
