T&D: 1 killed, 1 injured in shooting near Santee

SANTEE, S.C. (The Times and Democrat) - On Saturday, Times and Democrat reported a man was killed and another was injured in a shooting just outside of Santee, according to Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Richard Walker.

The shooting took place at a gathering on the 800 block of Antioch Road around 1:23 a.m. Saturday, according to OSCO.

No arrests have been made as of early Saturday afternoon, but investigators are following many leads, Walker added.

Times and Democrat also reported The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office has not yet responded to a request for information about the person who was killed.
