When to get an echocardiogram: adolescent cardiac arrest cases on the rise

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Just last month we saw the headline of NBA star Lebron James son suffering cardiac arrest during a workout--and at just 18 years old, most parents wouldnt fathom such an event happening at his age.
But surprisingly, cardivascular problems are becoming more and more common among teenagers, however, there’s precautions that can be taken.
Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford and cardiologist Dr. Daniel Bouknight spoke with WIS News 10 about echocardiograms.
