FIRST ALERT WEATHER: We’ve got a few showers and storms this week
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The humidity is going up Tuesday, and by the evening expect a few showers and storms.

FIRST ALERT HEADLINES.
- Tonight clouds are increasing a bit with mild temps in the low 60s.
- Expect more humidity for Tuesday and high temperatures reaching the upper 80s.
- The chance of rain goes up to 40% Tuesday night into the overnight period, especially after 7pm.
- The weather looks rather active Wednesday with a 50% chance of some scattered showers and storms.
- We cool off earlier Thursday with lows in the low 60s and highs in the mid 70s, there’s a 30% chance of showers.
- We dry up with highs in the low 80s Friday.

We have a mild night tonight with lows in the low 60s and partly cloudy skies.

A warm front is moving through tonight and will increase our humidity for Tuesday. Expect upper 80s for the afternoon hours with partly cloudy skies. By the evening, we see some showers and storms develop and push through the Midlands from 7pm to around 11pm from west to east. Right now the chances of showers and storms are around 40%.

A cold front pushes through and a low pressure system develops over the coastal areas of Georgia. These two systems bring a 50% chance of rain and storms. Lows are near 70 and highs reach the mid 80s.

We see a 30% chance of rain and storms Thursday and temperatures drop as a high pressure system to our northeast brings in an east flow that cools us down with highs in the mid 70s. Expect more clouds, especially in the morning hours.

Friday we have upper 50s in the morning and low 80s by the afternoon.
For the weekend there is a chance of showers and storms. Just a 20% chance as of now, mainly just a few pop up storms for the afternoon hours. Highs are in the low to mid 80s and lows are in the low 60s.

Tonight: Partly cloudy with low 60s.
Tuesday: Humidity goes up and the temps do too! Highs are in the upper 80s. There’s a 40% chance of evening storms.
Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds with a few PM showers and storms around (near 50%). Highs in the mid-80s.
Thursday: Not as hot with highs in the mid 70s with mostly cloudy skies and a 30% chance of showers.
Friday: A good deal of sun with stray showers possible. Highs in the lower 80s.
Saturday & Sunday: Partly cloudy with a 20% chance of an isolated afternoon storm. Highs are in the mid to low 80s.
