FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Windy conditions continue, cool temps too
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Temps are chilly tonight with upper 40s once again and our wind sticks with us tonight.
FIRST ALERT HEADLINES
- A Lake Wind Advisory stays in effect until 8am Thursday morning.
- Winds are going to continue into Wednesday with gusts up to 25 to 30mph.
- High temps are in the low to mid 70s for the rest of the work week.
- More clouds build into Friday with highs reaching the mid 70s.
- Rain chances go up to 40% Saturday as our next system arrives with a warm front.
- Expect upper 70s Sunday with a few more showers (20% chance).

FIRST ALERT WEATHER SUMMARY
Skies are clear tonight and temperatures drop into the upper 40s once again. The wind sticks with us before midnight with continued gusts near 30 to 35mph. A lake wind advisory remains in effect until 8am Thursday morning.

A large trough in the jet stream settles over the region and will continue our colder weather. It also will continue our breezy winds. We’re not expecting the wind to be quite as strong, but still around 20 to 30mph gusts can be expected.

The trough still is in place Thursday. This keeps our temps cool with lows near 44 and highs reaching the mid 70s. Skies remain sunny with dry air in place.

The low exits to the east Friday. The trough moves to the north and a warm front approaches from the southwest. This front will bring more clouds for Friday. Lows are in near 50 and highs reach the mid 70s.

The warm front moves north and a low pressure system nears Saturday. This increases our chances of rain to 40% with a few storms possible for Saturday night into Sunday morning. Low temps near the upper 50s and highs reach the upper 70s.

Wednesday: Mainly sunny with a breeze out of the NW. Highs only around 72 degrees.
Thursday: Sunny skies with lows in the mid 40s and highs reach the mid 70s.
Friday: Increasing clouds into the day. Highs to the mid 70s.
Saturday: Isolated showers with some breaks of sun. Chance of rain is 40%. Highs in the upper-70s.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of showers. Lows are in the upper 50s and highs reach the upper 70s.
Monday: Low 80s with a 20% chance of a spot shower or two.
