COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Expect sunny skies, breezy winds, and cooler than normal temperatures this week!

FIRST ALERT HEADLINES
- Lake wind advisory in effect for entire Midlands until Tuesday at 8pm.
- Low temps dip down into the mid to upper 40s for the next few nights.
- Skies remain sunny to mostly sunny through Thursday.
- Isolated showers look to move back into the Midlands Friday evening into Saturday, following increasing clouds for Friday.
- Best chance of rain is Saturday with a 40% chance.

Upper 40s tonight with continued breezy winds. Skies remain clear.

A large trough in the jet stream will stick around the eastern states for the next several days. There’s a low pressure system in the upper levels that will stay put over the Great Lake States and will help keep our winds up and also our temperatures cooler than average.
Expect sunny skies with low 70s Tuesday and Wednesday. Morning low temperatures are in the mid to upper 40s for both days as well.

Not much changes into Thursday, lows are in the mid 40s and highs reach the mid 70s.

Friday we have clouds building as our next low pushes through the Southeast. Lows are in the low 50s and highs reach the upper 70s. There’s a 20% chance of a few showers as well.

Saturday there’s a 40% chance of rain as the low arrives to the region. Lows are in the mid to upper 40s and highs reach the low 70s.

Tonight: Cooling down with lows in the upper 40s with clear skies.
Tuesday: Sunny and breezy. Highs in the low-mid 70s with gusts up to 30-35mph.
Wednesday: Mainly sunny with highs only around 70 degrees and lows in the upper 40s.
Thursday: Sunny skies with highs back to the mid-70s.
Friday: Increasing clouds with a few showers late in the day. Highs to the upper 70s with a 20% chance of showers.
Saturday: There’s a 40% chance of rain with cloudy skies and highs in the low 70s.
Sunday: Partly cloudy and warmer with lows in the upper 50s and highs in the upper 70s to near 80.
