FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Rain and some storms tonight
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Expect some rain and even some thunder tonight as an upper level system arrives.

FIRST ALERT HEADLINES
- Chance of rain is around 100%, especially from 8pm to 11pm, some storms are possible as well.
- Friday’s chance of rain has gone down to 30%, we could see some pop up storms in the late afternoon/evening.
- Mostly sunny skies Saturday as a small ridge builds getting temps into the mid 80s.
- Another upper level low arrives Sunday bringing an 80% chance of rain.
- We dry up Monday and the winds pick up with gusts up to 25 to 30mph, highs are in the low 70s.

FIRST ALERT WEATHER SUMMARY
Tonight we see a round of rain and even some thunder as well from time to time. The chance of rain goes up to 100% from 9pm to 11pm tonight, then starts to taper off as the early morning progresses. Around a half inch to three quarters of an inch is possible with some higher amounts embedded in a few storms.

Friday’s chance of rain has gone down to 30%. Expect mainly a dry morning with some sunshine for lunchtime. Then in the late afternoon and evening we see a 30% chance of some pop up showers and storms. The Storm Prediction Center has us under a level 1 “marginal” risk of severe weather.

A small ridge builds over the region Saturday in the upper levels of the atmosphere. This causes the air to sink a little which clears us up! Lows are in the low 60s and highs reach the mid 80s. Expect a few more clouds to build in the afternoon and evening.

The chance of rain goes up to 70% Sunday morning and to 80% for the day as a large upper level low pressure system moves over Georgia. Another half inch to 1″ is possible. Morning lows are in the low 60s and highs reach the mid 70s.

We dry up Monday and a cold front passes through bringing in cooler and drier air. Lows are near 50 and highs reach the low 70s. Winds are breezy with gusts up to 25mph.

Tuesday we cool off into the low 50s and highs reach the low 70s with mostly sunny skies.

Tonight: Rain pushes in this evening with a few hours of heavier downpours, chance of rain is 100%. Lows dip down to the low 60s.
Friday: Isolated showers in the morning, with some spotty p.m. t-storms possible. Highs around 81 degrees.
Saturday: Mostly sunny wand warm. Highs in the mid 80s.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy with rain showers and thunderstorms returning again. Highs in the mid-70s.
Monday: Drier air moves in and we see some breezy conditions with sunshine. Highs again settle in the low 70s.
Tuesday: Sun shine holds with high temps in the low 70s.
Wednesday: Sunny skies with with lows in the low 50s and highs in the low 70s.
