KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - An Elgin man is facing charges in connection to an armed robbery at a Waffle House in Lugoff.
On March 7 deputies responded to reports of a robbery. Investigators said dispatch was notified of two suspects and gunfire inside the business.
On arrival, deputies found three employees and cleared the building. One of the employees said she was having a panic attack, two said one of the men held a gun to their heads and demanded items.
Investigators checked the rear of the building near the safe and found shell casings on the ground. The incident report said the safe had signs of damage that appeared to be from gunfire.
The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Department was notified by one of the employees that their cell phone had been taken during the robbery. Dispatchers were able to ping the number and found the I-phone was detecting a collision.
A South Carolina Law Enforcement Divison search led to the capture of 19-year-old Jalon Bradley.
Bradley is being charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and three counts of kidnapping. He is being held at the Kershaw County Detention Center.
