Mid 60s tonight with mostly cloudy skies and a 20% chance of showers. A warm front is approaching from the south and will transport in moisture and warmth.

Thursday we have upper 70s with a 40% chance of rain and storms, especially in the afternoon hours. We see cloudy skies throughout the day with some rain and storms mixing in by the afternoon and evening.

Friday is a First Alert Weather Day for very strong winds up to 40mph and the chance of severe storms. The chance of severe storms is around 15%. The Storm Prediction Center has the whole state of South Carolina under a level 2 out of 5 “slight” risk of severe weather. A cold front is approaching from the west causing the winds and the potential for showers and storms. The models aren’t too robust on showing heavy activity during the afternoon, but all the elements are there with upper level support and some surface level energy is there but primarily for areas west of Columbia.

Saturday we have mid 50s in the morning as cooler air filters in behind the cold front and skies clear up. Highs reach the mid 70s Saturday afternoon with mostly sunny skies as high pressure builds from the northwest.

Sunday morning we are down to the mid 40s. Highs reach the low 70s with sunny skies for the afternoon hours.

We see low 40s Monday morning and highs reach the mid 70s for the afternoon and skies are mostly sunny.
