FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Cloudy and mild Tuesday, rain chances continue this week

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - We could see some patchy fog tonight with mild temps, highs are reaching the mid 60s by Tuesday afternoon.
FIRST ALERT HEADLINES:
- Tonight our lows dip down to 50 with cloudy skies and patchy fog.
- High temps reach the mid 60s Tuesday with a 20% chance of showers.
- We cool off Wednesday with highs reaching the upper 50s, cloudy skies and a 30% chance of showers.
- Rain moves in Thursday afternoon into the evening (80% chance).
- The rain continues into Friday morning and tapers off by the afternoon, we should see some sun by the afternoon with mid 50s.
- Saturday is COLD! Highs in the mid 40s are possible with partly cloudy skies.
FIRST ALERT SUMMARY:
The clouds stick around us tonight with overcast conditions and mild temps near 50. Expect some patchy fog for the early morning hours to develop.

We have a high pressure system to the south, south of Florida that will funnel in some warm air to the region. This gets our temps into the mid 60s by the afternoon hours. With this air coming out of the southwest we have plenty of moisture which leads to mostly cloudy skies and a 20% chance of some showers.

Wednesday a weak cold front pushes south cooling our temps into the upper 50s for the morning and upper 50s for the afternoon as well. The front kicks off enough cloud coverage we cannot rule out a 30% chance of some showers.

Lows dip down to 45 Thursday morning. We have mostly cloudy skies Thursday with highs reaching the mid 50s. A low pressure system moves from off the coast of Texas closer to our region giving us an 80% chance of rain by the afternoon and evening. The best chance of rain appears to be the evening to the overnight.

Friday morning we have a 40% chance of rain showers with lows in the mid 40s. Highs reach the mid 50s by the afternoon. Skies clear up by the afternoon hours.

We see much colder air move in overnight into Saturday morning. Lows are down to 29. Highs only reach the mid 40s for Saturday afternoon with partly cloudy skies as a northern high pressure system moves back into the region.

Tonight: Lows are down to 50 with cloudy skies with a chance of patchy fog.
Tuesday: Patchy AM fog. Mostly cloudy with a few showers possible(20%). Highs in the mid-60s.
Wednesday: Limited peeks of sun with a few hit or miss showers (30%). Highs mostly in the upper-50s.
Thursday: Cloudier with rain likely in the afternoon/evening (80%). Temperatures in the middle 50s.
Friday: Morning showers around (40%), as skies work to clear into the afternoon. Highs should still increase to the lower mid-50s.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, but cold and breezy. Highs in the mid to upper 40s, morning lows are in the upper 20s.
Sunday: 30% chance of a few showers with mostly cloudy skies and highs near 50.
