First Alert Forecast: Staying warm and dry this weekend.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Temps are in the 80s this weekend and even mid to upper 80s next week.

First Alert Weather Headlines:

· Warm weather is sticking around throughout your weekend and into the early part of the work week.

· We’re in the mid 80s for Sunday with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

· Monday we see upper 80s with mostly sunny skies .

· Tuesday will be warm as well with mid 80s. By the afternoon there’s a 50% chance of some showers and thunder as a cold front nears.

· It won’t be quite as warm next Wednesday as highs drop into the mid to upper 70s. We’ll be in the 70s again on Thursday.

First Alert Weather Story:

Tonight expect lows in the mid 50s with mostly clear skies.

A high pressure system slides to our east Sunday which provides us with partly cloudy skies and a little more moisture in the atmosphere. Highs reach the mid 80s under this southern flow regime.

Monday highs are in the upper 80s with sunny skies. The southern flow increases as our high sits to our east and clockwise winds around the high funnel in a light southern flow.

Tuesday we’re awaiting a cold front. Before it gets here temps are warm as a surge of warm air comes in from the south. Lows are in the low 60s in the morning and highs reach the mid 80s. The chance of rain is 50% for the late afternoon and evening.
