Missing 6-year-old boy from Tennessee found safe, Amber Alert discontinued

MONROE CO., Tenn. (WVLT/Gray News) - A missing 6-year-old boy at the center of an Amber Alert was found safe.
An incident commander reported Alijah Kensinger was found safe Friday morning after almost 19 hours in Monroe County, Tennessee, according to WVLT.
“This is the best outcome we could’ve prayed for,” the incident commander said.
Officials with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation canceled the Amber Alert late after issuing it Thursday night.
“He’s a little cold, but otherwise in good spirits!” the TBI tweeted.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Alijah previously went missing shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
Officials reported Alijah went to play in the woods in the backyard with his dog. Soon after, the dog came back wet and without Alijah.
More than 100 people assisted in the search, according to police.
