Teenager shot in Spartanburg, police say
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WYFF) — Spartanburg Police are investigating after a 16-year-old boy was shot Friday.
Spartanburg Police Department said officers responded to Georgia Street around 8:55 p.m. and found the victim with a gunshot wound to the lower back.
According to police, the victim stated he was traveling in a vehicle when he was shot, but he did not know or remember the exact location where it occurred.
The victim was alert and talking after the incident, police said.
He was taken to the hospital.
The victim’s injures are non-life-threatening, police said.
