1 killed in 2-car crash on U.S. 21 in Richland Co.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - One person was killed in a crash on Sunday night in Richland County, the South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed.
It happened around 6:40 p.m. on U.S. 21 (Wilson Boulevard) at Fairlawn Court in northeast Columbia.
SCHP says a 2008 BMW was traveling north on U.S. 21 and a 2018 Nissan was traveling south on U.S. 21.
The driver of the Nissan crossed the center line of the highway and hit the driver of the BMW, who was wearing a seat belt.
Officials said the driver of the Nissan was not wearing a seat belt.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the Nissan died. The person’s name has not been shared.
SCHP will continue its investigation.
