COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina women’s basketball team has now paused all team activities after receiving the results of Wednesday’s COVID-19 testing.

Team officials said the decision due to a combination of a positive test result, contact tracing, and subsequent quarantining.

Because of this, South Carolina’s home game against Georgia has been postponed. At this point, no makeup date has been set for the game between the Gamecocks and the Bulldogs. However, fans will be allowed to use the tickets they purchased for the January 7 contest.

Season ticket holders will receive an email from the ticket office with more information about tickets for this game.

No. 5 South Carolina is scheduled to play at No. 10 Kentucky on January 10.
