COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - South Carolina men’s basketball finds itself sidelined once again.
On Thursday, team officials announced the game between the Gamecocks and Ole Miss is now postponed. The game was postponed due to a combination of positive tests, contact tracing, and quarantining of individuals within the South Carolina program.
The game, which was scheduled to take place in Oxford on January 9, does not have a makeup date at this time.
This becomes the sixth game this year for Carolina that has been either canceled or postponed due to COVID-19. South Carolina has also paused men’s basketball team activities twice this year due to the virus.
The Gamecocks are scheduled to face Tennessee at home on January 12 before traveling to LSU on January 16.
