LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - Lexington Two has announced it will extend its remote learning until January 15 due to COVID-19.
The district’s remote learning period began on January 4.
District officials said the decision was made in anticipation of a surge in COVID-19 cases after Winter Break. Lexington Two said it experienced challenges after Thanksgiving break, which partially impacted school operations.
During this period, the district will not hold athletic events, club activities, or other events on campuses. Activities are set to resume on January 19.
The district’s full-time Virtual Academy will not be affected by these changes.
Students are also scheduled to return to five-day in-person instruction on Jan. 19 as well.
Free meals for students will be available for curbside pickup from Jan. 4-8. There will also be bus delivery and curbside pickup for meals from Jan. 11-15.
