COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - After numerous men’s basketball games were postponed for South Carolina due to COVID-19, the team will finally get to play Saturday.

The Gamecocks (1-2) will tip off against Florida A&M (1-5) in their home opener at Colonial Life Arena on Jan. 2 at 1 p.m.

They have not played since Dec. 5 due to “a combination of positive COVID-19 tests, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the South Carolina program,” the athletics department said.

Fans can watch the game on the SEC Network.
