COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - On Saturday, the South Carolina Gamecocks will take on the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs enter the game as the ninth-ranked team in the College Football Playoff rankings. The Bulldogs are seeking for sixth win of the year while the Gamecocks are looking for their third.

We’ll have game updates and the game’s scoring summary here.

FIRST QUARTER

JT Daniels and the Bulldogs got off to a fast start. The Southern Cal transfer connected twice with Tre McKitty on the opening drive. The second time resulted in six points for Georgia.

That just got things going for Kirby Smart’s team who put up 225 yards and 21 points in the quarter.

As for the Gamecocks, their biggest play was a 35-yard pass from Luke Doty to Nick Muse. Outside of that, the Gamecocks only put up 75 yards.

SECOND QUARTER

Carolina has put up 10 points so far in the contest, but the Bulldogs have just had their way in the run game.

Georgia has posted 208 rushing yards so far with James Cook leading the way with two touchdowns. The Bulldogs are simply winning the line of scrimmage and opening running lanes in the process.

However, Georgia was held to just 70 yards in the second quarter. Carolina has to find a way to continue to get stops and find ways to put points on the board.

THIRD QUARTER

Carolina had the chance to cut into the Georgia lead to start the second half, but a pair of poorly executed drives would give way to 10 Georgia points in the quarter.

FOURTH QUARTER

Nick Muse did provide a bright spot for the Gamecocks. He scored his first touchdown of the night with 9:27 left, but the score was too little and too late.
