COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Columbia Police Department is investigating a shooting at an apartment complex near North Main Street.

Officials received a ShotSpotter alert and made their way to Dorrah Randall Apartments located at the 5700 block of Randall Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a male victim who suffered an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body.

At this point, authorities are working to gather information on the suspect. Details regarding what led to the shooting also have not been released.
