COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Tonight, South Carolina will take on Missouri at Williams-Brice Stadium.

The game will be the first for the Gamecocks with Mike Bobo as the interim head coach.

Both teams are searching for their third win of the year.

We’ll have game notes and scoring updates here.

FIRST QUARTER

One of the biggest developments of the game happened early as Shi Smith was injured. Smith was taken to the locker room for further evaluation.

Carolina was pinned near the 1-yard line early in the first quarter and it flipped the field for Mizzou. The Tigers were able to take advantage and come away with seven points.

SECOND QUARTER

Carolina hasn’t been able to get much going on offense. At one point, Tyler Badie picked up as many yards on one play as Carolina recorded in the first quarter.

Still, they’re looking to get something going. An interception by Cam Smith may have been just what the team needed., but the Gamecocks weren’t able to capitalize.

Carolina only recorded 68 total yards in the first half.

Instead, Missouri put up a field goal to extend their lead after two critical face mask penalties. The Tigers will get the ball first in the second half.

THIRD QUARTER

Carolina brought out Luke Doty and he made the most of his opportunity. He led Carolina down the field and Parker White would finish the Gamecocks’ first drive of the second half with three points.

FOURTH QUARTER

The offense has shown signs of life in the final quarter behind Luke Doty. However, time is running out and the Gamecocks have to find points in a hurry.

Some of those points came with under five minutes to go as Deshaun Fenwick cut the deficit to one score on a 1-yard touchdown.
