Road closed in Lexington due to massive sinkhole

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WIS) - If you’re headed toward Gibson Road in Lexington, you may need to find another way to your destination.

According to the Lexington Police Department, the road will be closed for the next two weeks after a massive sinkhole formed. Because of this, the Gibson Road bridge has been deemed unsafe to travel across.

Local traffic will only be allowed to travel in the vicinity, according to the police.
