Pedestrian killed after being hit by vehicle on Bush River Road identified

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Richland County Coroner’s office has identified the pedestrian killed after being hit by a vehicle on Bush River Roadon June 24.

The fatal collision that occurred around 10:30 p.m.

Cameron Brisco, 25, of Misty Dew Lane in Lexington was taken to Prisma Health Richland by EMS where he was pronounced dead.

A 2007 Ford Explorer was driving along Bush River Road when it hit Brisco who was crossing the road. The driver was wearing a seat belt.

An autopsy revealed that Brisco’s cause of death was blunt force trauma to the upper body.

Richland County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate this incident.
