Scrap metal fire forced officials in Cayce to close part of Charleston Highway

CAYCE, S.C. (WIS) - Officials closed part of Charleston Highway following a scrap metal fire on Wednesday morning.

The fire happened on the 2300 block of Charleston Highway. Members of the Cayce Department of Public Safety and the Lexington County Fire Service worked to put out the fire.

Officials said lanes on Charleston Highway reopened just afgter 10:15 a.m.
