LEXINGTON, S.C. (WIS) - A middle school student who is accused of having an outburst in class and threatening to “blow up the school” has been charged.
The 11-year-old student at Carolina Springs Middle School is also suspended and could face expulsion.
District officials said the boy was not paying attention in class, and when his teacher tried to get his attention he shouted he would “blow up the school.”
His teacher immediately reported the threat to administrators, who then notified police, the district said.
School administrators recommended the child be expelled. He will have an expulsion hearing at a later date. In the meantime, he is not allowed on Lexington One district property or at any events.
The student was released to his mother. He will have to appear in Family Court.
