ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WIS) - Three men and a 16-year-old have been arrested after a shooting in Orangeburg on Wednesday.
Deputies with the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office responded to Carrington Apartments just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night after receiving calls about shots fired in the area. Residents at the apartment complex told deputies that bullets hit their homes.
No residents at the apartment complex were injured.
While officials were making their way to the area, a deputy spotted a silver vehicle that matched a description reported by callers. Deputies were able to stop the vehicle less than a mile away from the apartments.
After stopping the vehicle, deputies found two 9mm handguns and a 9mm Tec-9 pistol inside the vehicle’s floorboard. Deputies also found a bookbag filled with drugs and cash in the vehicle as well.
Deputies arrested 23-year-old Shyheim Lippman, 19-year-old Latavish Ulmer, 24-year-old Jamarious Loynes, and a 16-year-old boy.. Lippman and Ulmer were each charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol. Loynes was charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol and trafficking more than 100 capsules of ecstasy.
The 16-year-old, who officials have not publicly identified, was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Lippman and Ulmer were each given $1,000 surety bonds during a hearing on Thursday. Loynes’ bond hearing was delayed after investigators realized he identified himself using a relative’s name.
