Man and woman arrested after drugs found in Gaston home

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Lexington County deputies arrested two people at a Gaston home last week after executing a search warrant.

Authorities arrested 35-year-old Daniel Burgess and 27-year-old Jessica Geohagan and seized a large quantity of meth, cash and a gun. According to warrants, Burgess is charged with trafficking meth and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and Geohagan is charged with trafficking meth and possessing a weapon during a violent crime.

“A tip led investigators to Burgess’ home in the 1600 block of Busbee Road,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “Agents seized 22 grams of meth, 35 grams of marijuana and more than $8,000 in cash from the home.”

Geohagan was arrested at Burgess’ home with 52 grams of meth and a handgun in his possession, according to Sheriff Koon.

Burgess is being held in the Lexington County Detention Center while Geohagan has been released after posting bond.
