South Carolina ranked one of the worst states in new report
COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - In the latest Best States report from U.S. News and World Report, South Carolina did not land favorably on the list - again.
The Palmetto State was ranked at no. 42 on the annual list, only bested by Louisiana, Mississippi, and New Mexico at the bottom of the list.
The list is a combination of the following weighted measures: healthcare (36), education(43), economy (16), infrastructure (36), opportunity (41), fiscal stability (200, crime and corruptions (46), and natural environment (34).
The best state, according to this list, is Washington state, followed by New Hampshire, Minnesota, Utah, and Vermont.
Georgia and North Carolina were ranked 17th and 18th, respectively.
South Carolina was ranked no. 42 in the 2018 report as well.
